Hello & assalamualaikum readers.

It has been a few weeks of Movement Control Order (MCO) and my life was very unproductive since I came back home 3 weeks ago (ー_ー)! . With that, for this phase 3 MCO I've created a better schedule of more productive morning. I want to share this since I think it will inspired people who also wanted a productive morning while MCO is executed.

I started my day at Fajr around 4-5 a.m. to perform Fajr prayer. Right after I woke up from sleep I'll drink a glass of water (a glass = 200 ml), it helps to wake me up and my body will feel a little fresher. After prayer, I'll try to not to sleep again because I found it will make me feel drowsy the whole day. I spent the time to read anything such as al-Quran, al-Mathurat, novel or any article. I'll try to not use phone to read. It's the best to avoid screen and read from real material. At around 7 a.m I'll change into my workout outfits, as well as prepare for a light meal such as a slice of toast or scrambled egg just to avoid being too hungry while doing workouts. Usually I'll start my workout routine at around 7.30 a.m. It's important to spend at least 30 mins of workout session each day to ensure our health throughout this MCO even though we are stayying at home.

After workout, I'll proceed to take a shower to clean up and refresh myself. I prefer to use cold water. Right after shower I'll do my day skincare routine and perform Dhuha prayer. It's HIGHLY recommended to include Dhuha prayer in your morning routine, it's just like a meditation. For non-Muslims you can try to do a 5 mins of meditation and trust me it will change your day.

Natch, I'll be starved, therefore I'll take my heavy breakfast and drink my coffee (coffee is a MUST for me!) to fill up my stomach. If I'm alone, while eating I usually will scroll my Pinterest or watch videos on Youtube but If my mom already woke up, I'll have a morning chit chat with her. End of my morning routine, I'll do some chores after breakfast such as fold laundry, wash dishes, sweep the floor and some more.

That's all that I do in my morning for last week, the first week of MCO 3. Honestly I don't do it perfectly but Alhamdulillah I've improved a lot in managing my time. I hope I can sustained to stay productive for the upcoming days. However, Ramadhan will come in less than a week, thus, I think I need to modify a little bit of my morning routine.

Here, I have a few tips to succeed your productive morning routine:
1. don't procrastinate your wake up time. Set an alarm and immediately open your eyes and sit for awhile. This will give a signal to your brain and body that you are awake.
2. like I said before, it is recommended to avoid screen at morning. Indirectly this will lessen your screen time per day.
3. after done your house chores, normally you'll feel tired and sleepy. You can take a short nap around 10-15 mins (in Islam it called "Qailulah"). Trust me, this will refresh you and you can continue your day lively!

Thank you for visiting! I hope these ideas will inspire you to have a productive day.

السلام عليكم
